INTRODUCTION

This program will be conducted by full research. There are no prerequisite courses but students are required to attend methodology courses organized by the faculty:

  • Research Methodology of Halal Science and Usul Fiqh

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The candidates for Ph.D are required to have the following degree:

  • M.Phil (Islamic Education) for Ph.D (Islamic Education), from FTI UTM, or
  • A Master in Islamic Studies from any higher learning institutions, locally or internationally which are recognized by University Senate.
  • A Master in any relevant fields from any higher learning institutions, locally or internationally which are recognized by University Senate.
  • International students are required to score the minimum mark of 550 in TOEFL or band 6.0 in IELTS or any equivalent English language test.

Full Research mode

  • Full-time 6-12 semesters
  • Part-time 8-16 semesters

  1. Towards the end of the program, the candidate will have to submit the thesis in order to be reviewed and evaluated.
  2. PhD thesis will be examined by three examiners; 1 internal & 2 external.
