Master of Education (Educational Technology)

Master of Education (Educational Technology) is specially designed leading to the degree of Master and Doctor of Philosophy in various areas of education to cater for teaching or training professionals who are seeking in-depth knowledge, research skills, careers advancement and provide professional leadership in the specialized fields of education.

1. Compulsory courses (6 courses) (20 credits)

a. Innovation in Learning and Teaching
b. Research Methods in Education
c. Application of Statistic in Educational Research
d. Educational Technology Foundation and Research
e. Technology & Media Design
f. Authoring System

2. Elective courses (4 courses) (12 credits)
a. Mobile Learning Application Development
b. Organizational and Resource Management
c. Animation Technology Production
d. Innovative Learning Environment

3. General university course (1 course) (3 credits)
a. Dynamics of Leadership

4. Research Study I and II (2 courses) (10 credits)
a. Research Study I
b. Research Study II

Entry Requirement

• A recognised bachelor’s degree with good honours with minimum CGPA 2.5/4.0 or equivalent
• Internal applicants must satisfy academic admission and English language proficiency requirement (IELTS band 6, TOEFL score 550 or CEFR B2 and any other conditions specified)
• Students who do not fulfil the English Language profiency will be required to take an English Language exam upon registration, failing which they have to register for English Language modules offered by the university.
• Candidates from English speaking countries are exempted from the UTM English Language requirements.
