Language Assessment in Schools
In this talk Prof O’Sullivan will explore the way in which both assessment and teaching have changed (or not) over the years. He will discuss the key areas of need in classroom-based assessment and consider how we can work to improve this critical aspect of our learning systems.

Workshop:
Reliability in Marking Student Texts
In this workshop, participants will explore the area of consistent and accurate marking of student work. This will range from identifying language-specific ideals (based on a pre-exiting model) to the creation of a systematic approach to correction and feedback. By the end of the workshop, participants should be ready to apply the lessons learnt and the approach suggested in their own classrooms.
