The VLCPIS 2020, Virtual Language and Communication Postgraduate International Seminar is a continuation of the first and second LCPIS conducted in 2017 and 2019. The VLCPIS 2020 offers the chance to connect bright minds through sharing, learning and discussing a wide range of subjects in the field of language and communication including cross-cultural communication, intercultural communication, tourism communication, health communication, multimodality, discourse analysis, linguistics, sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, language teaching, language assessment, literacy, literature etc.

VLCPIS 2020 differs from the previous seminars in that it provides fully virtual seminar through the Webex platform. Since COVID 19 has turned everyday life on its head, the virtual platform has helped everyone to stay connected while remaining safe. This seminar is a great effort to expand on the opportunity for learning during this unprecedented time. The authors of VLCPIS 2020 proceedings come from six different countries (Iran, Syria, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and China). All submissions are systematically arranged according to four major themes: (1) Discourse Analysis, (2) Language Teaching and Learning, (3) Language and Communication and (4) Translation, Literature and Citations.
