Visit to UTMKL by President Abdu  Alhalg Yu Zhiyi , Ningxia International Language College (NILC), Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China.

The President of NILC and his interpreter, Ms Liu Li @ Fatema came to UTMKL for a brief visit to discuss potential academic collaborations between the college and UTM. During the visit, the President expressed his interest to engage in international collaboration with Language Academy. NILC is a key secondary vocational college teaching Arabic and other minority languages approved by the Department of Education of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in July 2010.  The school has continued to uphold China’s main educational policy to effectively implement the China’s Law for promoting private school education. Since its establishment, more than 1700 students have graduated under its modern educational mode of language competence and comprehensive skills training. The key issue in the discussion is NILC interest to engage Language Academy in offering intensive English language courses to their students as preparatory for entry into Malaysian higher education institution as well to offer staff and students exchange. NILC is also keen to enroll potential students into UTM Degree and Post Graduate programmes. At the end of the session, it was agreed that Language Academy Kuala Lumpur will prepare a Letter of Cooperation (LOC) to be signed by both parties as a symbol of collaborative agreement between NILC and Language Academy.  Representatives of LAKL were PM Dr Marlia Puteh, Dr Zuhana Mohamed Zin, Pn Rosmah Ramlan, Pn Ramona Abdul Rahim and Pn Rosyatimah Mohd Yasin.
