Professor Zuraidah Mohd Don has built up a balanced academic profile and developed strengths in research, publication as well as teaching. Her research covers a wide field centred on the study of language, ranging from Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, Corpus Linguistics, Language Structure, and English Language Teaching. In recognition of her work and expertise in English Language, the Ministry of Education in Malaysia has appointed her as Chair of the English Language Standards and Quality Council. In her role as Chair, she has worked on four projects which each leading to the formulation and implementation of language-in-education policy.
