EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY (SPECIAL PROGRAM )
OVERVIEW
The Master of Educational Technology program is offered by the School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UTM and is implemented through course work/mixed-mode/full research. Postgraduate Special Program (Coursework only) is specially designed for working professionals and open to all Malaysian. The timetables are flexible and customs to suit student’s time yet follows the curriculum of mainstream programme.
The aim of the Master of Educational Technology program is to ensure that students are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies at the respective levels as prescribed in the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) to enable them to pursue career opportunities in a variety of jobs related to Educational Technology.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE (SPECIAL PROGRAM – WEEKEND CLASS)
This taught-course program is offered on full-time mode and is based on a four-semester + 1 short semester academic session with several courses being conducted and assessed in each semester. The class will be held three times a month on the weekends (Friday and Saturday). It offers several courses and academic activities that would develop potential Educational Technology practitioners.

Duration of program: 4 + 1 short semester (2 years)
Class timetable: 3 times weekend (Friday and Saturday) per month

Total credit hours: 45 credits
PEO
PEO1: Proficient in applying and communicating in-depth relevant knowledge in solving problems critically and analytically in the field of Educational Technology.
PEO2: Career advancement through life-long learning and competencies in leadership, interpersonal and digital skill.
PEO3: Practice ethical principles and entrepreneurial mindset within professional and societal context.

Entry Requirements
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent
- Candidates with CGPA/CGPA less than 2.50 and at least 2.00, a minimum five (5) working experience is required
- Candidates who are Malaysian citizens who have APEL T7 certificate can be considered for the purpose admission (subject to faculty approval).
