Overview Management & Administration(MPA)

The Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Administration and Management presents rich diversity of learning experiences in one of the Malaysian’s oldest postgraduate educational research communities. The programs were designed to build high commitment to conceptually and intellectually rigorous high quality research and publications. This nationally recognised programs aim to take your educational leadership, management and administration skills to the highest level, whether you’re an aspiring head teacher, school manager or higher educational leader looking for a quality experience. Blending theory and – crucially – work-based practice, programs are presented in aligned with the Ministry of Education Malaysia and local educational authorities’ visions that integrates essential elements of management, leadership and administration such as the strategic vision, values, knowledge and understanding; and personal qualities and interpersonal skills in leading the schools.

Taught by cluster of experience lecturers and professors, this program sought to create a vibrant international postgraduate community that is welcoming, supportive and friendly. The program also has the highest numbers of postgraduate students enrolling their masters and PhD that encompasses multidiscipline research themes such as: school and higher educational leadership, principalship/headship, knowledge management in education, human resource management in education, professional development of teachers; managing student development; educational policy and practice; supervision and school-based practicum. Theoretically grounded and methodologically precise, our research focuses on the relationship between policy and practice and research activities that have an impact towards the epistemological aspects of knowledge.
