Pre-recorded Video Presentation Submission

 

 

General Guidelines

  1. Please be informed that the virtual platform used for VLCPIS 2023 is Webex. Please make sure you are able to access to participate in the seminar.
  2. Due to the nature of the seminar, all paper presenters MUST submit a pre-recorded video of their presentation. The video will be played during the presenter’s session. Please upload your video here or click the Pre-recorded video submission tab below.
  3. The presentation schedule will be uploaded in due time. Once notified, kindly check the time and slot of your presentation as well as the Webex link to join the parallel session. Please note that the schedule for paper presentations is final, but it may be subject to changes for administrative reasons. We will not accept any requests to change the presentation slots due to the high number of paper submissions.
  4. Any change to the presentation schedule will be informed via VLCPIS 2023 official website. Kindly check the VLCPIS 2021 Recorded Presentation page for the latest updates and announcements.
  5. Every presenter will be allotted a total of 20 minutes for the session, which includes 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
  6. Except for the beginning and end of the video, the pre-recorded video presentation must be continuous with no video cuts or break.

The Pre-recorded Video Presentation Technical Guidelines

  1. Ensure that the video resolution is high definition (720p) with 30 FPS minimum. Avoid using high-bandwidth applications to create your videos.
  2. Your video-recorded presentation must include a shot of yourself as you present your slides, with your face in a smaller image in the video.
  3. Set the slide and video to 16:9 widescreen and save the video as an mp4 file.
  4. Ensure that the title of your paperauthors’ namesaffiliation, and your photo must all appear on the first page of your slide presentation.
  5. NO background music is allowed unless it is part of your actual study.
  6. Presentations can be given in English or Malay, depending on your abstract/study.
  7. The length of your videos must strictly follow the 10 minutes time limit or it can be lesser

The Webex Platform

  1. All presenters must be signed in to the WebEx platform at least 10 minutes before the presentation begins, as stated in the Presentation Schedule.
  2. To avoid disruptions during the session,  you are advised to have Webex installed on your device and ensure that it is the latest version. This is also to better enable you to use more Webex features.
  3. Please indicate your identity during the Webex session in the format of “Paper ID No |Full Name”.  For example, 101 | Aliyyah Smith.
  4. The ID number is the ID number of your paper that you received in the abstract acceptance email.

  6. Ensure that you ‘Save As’  the video using this title: Paper ID No and Full Name. All presenters are advised to be present throughout the session as the presentation schedule might change according to the presenter’s availability.
  7. Your presentation will be followed with a Question and Answer (Q&A) session. You are required to be in the parallel session until the Q&A session ends.
  8. Viewers in the session are allowed to ask questions either directly or through the chat function.
  9. The Q&A session will be live and moderated by the moderator, so please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and that your camera is turned on during this session.

  1. Ensure that you have submitted your pre- recorded video presentation before 3rd September 2023.
