The B40 group in Malaysia comprises low-income earners from different age groups and categories with inadequate infrastructure and support systems. Addressing their needs is crucial for reducing income inequality, improving access to education and healthcare, and fostering economic empowerment. However, various psychological challenges hinder their resilience in overcoming adversity. By employing mixed methods research designs, the main program and subprojects will investigate a holistic framework of psychological hardiness among this population by integrating personality traits, mental health literacy, resilience, parenting styles, and psychospiritual development. It will incorporate the development of a mental health app, psychosocial interventions, resilience modules, halal food literacy as well as drawing psychospiritual inspiration from prominent figure; Abdul Rahman bin Auf. This framework aims to uplift the B40 community, supporting government policies for equitable development.
