She said new knowledge and skills cover many ways of thinking, working and living. This covers creativity and innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision making and learning to learn. \u201cIf we are to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world, we should learn to make the most of technology,\u201d said Raja Zarith Sofiah in her royal address at the 11th Language for Specific Purposes International Conference and the 10th Global Advances in Business Communication Conference (LSP-GABC 2018) in Senai today (26 June). Themed \u201cEmpowering Future Talents through Language and Communication\u201d, local and international presenters and participants from various countries including US, UK, Australia, Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, India, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Canada, New Zealand and Nigeria. The two-day conference is organised by the Language Academy of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). \u201cFuture talents must know not only the appropriate forms of communication but also suitable registers for various circumstances, both formal and informal,\u201d said Raja Zarith Sofiah, who is also UTM Chancellor. She said it is important for the young generation to be equipped with necessary and relevant knowledge, and skills.<\/p>\n<p>PERMAISURI JOHOR: MANFAAT SEPENUHNYA PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI DYMM Permaisuri Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah bertitah terdapat keperluan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pendidikan tinggi bagi menyokong pengajaran abad ke-21 serta persekitaran pembelajaran. Baginda bertitah, pengetahuan dan kemahiran baharu meliputi pelbagai cara untuk berfikir, bekerja dan hidup. Ini meliputi kreativiti dan inovasi, pemikiran kritis, penyelesaian masalah, membuat keputusan dan pembelajaran untuk belajar. \u201cJika kita ingin berjaya dalam dunia yang semakin digital dan saling berkaitan sekarang, kita perlu belajar untuk memanfaat sepenuhnya penggunaan teknologi,\u201d titah Raja Zarith Sofiah. Baginda bertitah demikian ketika berangkat dan menyampaikan ucaptama Diraja pada Persidangan Antarabangsa Bahasa Untuk Tujuan Khusus Ke-11 dan Persidangan Ke-10 Perkembangan Global Dalam Komunikasi Perniagaan (LSP-GABC 2018) di Senai hari ini (26 Jun). Bertemakan \u201cMemperkasakan Bakat Akan Datang Menerusi Bahasa dan Komunikasi\u201d persidangan itu membabitkan pembentangan serta peserta daripada pelbagai negara termasuk Amerika Syarikat, UK, Australia, Mexico, Jepun, Indonesia, India, Belgium, Arab Saudi, Kanada, New Zealand dan Nigeria. Persidangan selama dua hari itu dianjurkan oleh Akademi Bahasa Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
