Technology and Language Education (TLE)<\/span><\/h1>\n

1) Our main goals are to carry out research activities pertaining to technology-aided Language Education and to encourage research collaboration in this field among researchers in Malaysia, South-East Asia, and worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

2) Main focus is on technology-assisted language learning and teaching as well as language assessment and evaluation. <\/span><\/p>\n

Areas of Expertise and Strength<\/h2>\n

The five thrust areas of this field are: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Technology-aided Language Teaching \u2013 studies on issues related to improvement on teaching, learning, and language training employing technology. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Active Learning Using Technology \u2013 deals with practical techniques and approaches using technology to encourage learner-centred learning. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Technology-based Assessment of Teaching\/Learning Devices Programme \u2013 focuses on research and tutorials involving assessment on current technological devices which could be utilised in language teaching and learning. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Research-based Investigation \u2013 supports relevant research and deals with issues pertaining to synchronous and asynchronous technology applications such as mobile applications.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Publication \u2013 prepares and submits papers and manuscripts to journals and other relevant sources. <\/span><\/p>\n
