About

This is an action-oriented research group which engages in action research activities in educational institution settings as teaching and learning experiences, and service projects to universities and schools. The formation of this research group is in line with the university’s goal to promote active research activities among the academic staff. This research group aims to improve language teaching and learning through collaborative interventions and evaluations based on the approaches, techniques and practices adopted in language teaching, learning and training.

 

RSEARCH SPECIALISATION

  • Language teaching – the research group will conduct research and courses on issues related to the improvement of language teaching, learning and training
  • Active language learning – the research group will conduct research and courses on practical approaches and techniques that promote students centred learning
  • Language Training Programme – the research group will conduct research and training on effective language instructions and lessons
  • School-based intervention – the research group will support school-based interventions and related evaluations on teaching and learning activities conducted in educational institutions
  • Action Research – the research group will conduct, support and encourage action research involving the stakeholders in the educational institutions.
  • Investigative research – the research group will conduct and support relevant research projects that are designed to address issues and questions pertinent to language teaching and training.
  • Publications – the research group will prepare and submit papers and manuscripts for publication in professional reviewed journals, books and other sources on critical issues related to language teaching, learning and training in educational settings.
  • Workshops/Presentations – the research group will conduct and support workshops and presentations by practitioners, language trainers and language researchers.
