What is the duration of the summer school program?
Two weeks
When is it usually held?
We have 2 sessions per year. The Winter session is held during February to March and the Summer session is held during July to August.
What subjects or courses are offered during the summer school?
You will be offered classes related to vocabulary enrichment, sentence writing, pronunciation improvement as well as Oral presentation skills.
Who is eligible to apply for the summer school program?
This program is for everyone but it is especially helpful for those who have an English CEFR level of A1 & A2
Where will I stay?
You will be staying in UTM’s very own hotel: Scholar’s Inn
How do I join this program?
You have to contact the international department or unit of your university. They will reach out to us and we will plan the event for you.
Can we meet our Malaysian Buddies before we arrive in Malaysia?
You will only be introduced to your Malaysian buddy the day after your arrival to Malaysia.
What other activities are provided in the summer school?
For previous programmes, students went to Johor national parks and museums, and other ecotourism destinations in Johor. Destinations depend on their availability and accessibility during the trip because they can be closed for maintenance work.
