We are experiencing difficult times due to the pandemic. It has affected not only our life styles but also our approaches to teaching and learning at the universities and other sectors of the society. Current situation needs to be discussed from different perspectives because rapid changes in the political, economic, educational and social situation will not only affect the area but it will have spillover effects globally. In order to understand the current trends in the Middle East and also outside the region, scholars from all over the world need to sit together and give their viewpoints to how these events happened and to what extend they will change the current fabric of the society.
