Embrace Authentic Global Learning Experience, EAGLE

The Forth Industrial Revolution has reigned the worlds’ today. With the rise of global issues (as addressed in Sustainable Development Goals) such as poverty, hunger, climate change, etc, educators need to step up and make the transformation in the teaching and learning (TnL) process. Educators need to equip learners with the essential quality in order to prepare them for the challenges faced in the future. This greatly requires  educators to redesign the TnL by comprising the theory and reality, as the learning should not limit to the four walls of the class. Educators shall bring the world to learners and bring learners to the world through the engagement with the community. It is critical for educators to redesign the pedagogical and teaching strategy to meet the global needs , solve the real-world problems, take actions and serve the community. Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities believes that the dire needs to bring students beyond the classroom setting and ultimately, to ensure learners embrace the authentic global learning experience through EAGLE. By embedding EAGLE with the Community based Learning (C-bL) strategy, the culturalization of teaching and learning strategy will bridge the academic theory and the real-world practice, inculcate the learning experience, and ultimately uphold the reciprocity and collaboration with the community stakeholders.
