Poster 15th APDCPC Template

Please note the following information regarding your presentation:

  1. Poster Dimensions
  • Size: The poster should be no larger than 91 cm (36 inches) x 122 cm (48 inches), and no smaller than 70 cm (28 inches) x 70 cm (28 inches).
  • Orientation: Use portrait orientation.
  • Text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet)
  1. Title and Authors
  • Title: Place the title at the top of the poster in a large, readable font.
  • Authors: Include the names of all authors (limited to four presenters) and their affiliations below the title in a slightly smaller font as stated on the submitted abstract.
  1. Content Organization
  • Sections: Organize the poster into clear sections. Common sections include:
    • Introduction
    • Research Objectives/Questions/Hypotheses
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Discussion/Conclusion
    • References
  • Subsections: If needed, include subsections with headings in a bold or larger font.
  1. Text and Fonts
  • Body Text: Use a legible font size (minimum 24 pt) for the main text.
  • Font Type: Choose easy-to-read fonts such as Arial, Helvetica, or Times New Roman.
  • Text Alignment: Left-align text for easier reading.
  • Bullet Points: Use bullet points for lists to improve readability.
  1. Graphics and Images
  • Quality: Use high-resolution images and graphics to avoid pixelation when printed.
  • Legends and Captions: Provide clear, concise captions for all images and graphs.
  • Graphs and Charts: Ensure graphs are simple and not cluttered, with properly labelled axes.
  1. Colour Scheme
  • Consistency: Use a consistent colour scheme throughout the poster.
  • Background: Choose a background colour that contrasts well with the text for readability.
  • Highlighting: Use colour to highlight important information but avoid excessive use of bright colours.
  1. Layout and Design
  • Balance: Balance text and visuals evenly across the poster to avoid overcrowding any section.
  • White Space: Leave adequate white space around sections to make the poster look clean and organized.
  • Flow: Arrange sections in a logical flow that guides the viewer through the content.
  1. References
  • Citations: Cite all sources and references used in the research.
  • Format: Use a consistent citation style as specified by the competition guidelines.
  1. Final Checks
  • Proofread: Check for spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Clarity: Ensure all information is clear and concise.
  • Review: Have a colleague or mentor review the poster for feedback.

Important Note:

  • The main presenter must register for the entire conference and must be present during the poster sessions.
